The huge event was attended by dignitaries like Uhuru Kenyatta with celebrities like Ben Githae, Bahati, Mr Nice, Rose Muhando and  Martin Kamotho (Githeri Man) also on the guest list.

Due to the elaborate nature of the event, some thought that the Governor is already blowing Nairobi County Money.

But Mike Sonko had issued an advert in the dailies with a disclaimer that read "This event is not sponsored by the Nairobi City County Government, nor the ministry of devolution. This is a personal initiative from H.E Mike Sonko Mbuvi Kioko, just as the ongoing cleanup program by the Sonko Rescue Team."
