Please! I am not your child, mind your language when addressing me, Raila tells Uhuru
The Orange Democratic Movement party leader, Raila Odinga has hit out at President Uhuru Kenyatta and reprimanded him over his recent remarks about him.
The Cord leader termed Uhuru’s derogatory remarks which the young president made during his two-day tour in Central region unbecoming of.
“Ati sasa anasomea Raila; mimi si mtoto wake. Ongea kwa njia ya utaratibu”
Translated “He is now dressing down Raila; I’m not his child. Talk in a polite manner” the opposition chief said on Tuesday.
The opposition leader, urged the President to be polite and respectful while addressing him.
The former Prime Minister was reacting to remarks by the Head of State, who on Monday said Raila had run out of ideas and should, therefore, retire from active politics.
“Maybe it is his age, and that is why we are asking him to retire now that he is an old man,” the President said while in Nyeri County.
Raila was speaking after meeting a delegation of Maasai leaders at Orange House in Nairobi, where the opposition chief said that the insulting remarks by President Kenyatta cannot solve the ills facing Kenyans.
However this is not the first time, Uhuru has gone on public and publicly behaved in a manner demeaning the office of the president.
During the inaugural NGC Jubilee meeting, Uhuru turned the entire meeting into a personal attack on the opposition leader, calling him "backward and petty."
"Wacha aendelee na matope yake sisi tuendelee na maendeleo (Let him carry on with his mud while we carry on with development)." Uhuru ranted.
Just recently while on a tour in Central kenya to market Jubilee, the head of state switched to Kikuyu dialet and went into a rant about Raila, referring to him as 'Muguruki' (Mad Man)
In his deputy president, Uhuru has found an able, quick tongued, ready to please and slow to comprehend the impact of his words, one William Ruto.
Leaders have come out on countless occasions to protest the utter disgust with which the ‘proudly born again’ deputy president refer to other leaders.
The opposition are not saints either in this vice and are culprits, a leader inspires others to do better, to aspire to a better conduct.
The Head of state is the highest office in the land and it it we expect better.
what happened to "never wrestle with a pig. You get dirty, and besides, the pig likes it" ?
Currently, Jubilee foot soldiers are all out forming in the mouth with anti-Raila rhetorics, only incensing the opposition to do the same.

In president Uhuru Kenyans hoped a sober, calm, open minded and sure accommodating president not one who engages in ‘socialite like drama and teenager tantrums’
In Opposition, Kenyans wished a calm, sober, open minded and sure accommodating league of leaders who will not simply point out government ills but also offer solutions.
May all the leaders just act their age, office, faith and patriotism. is that too much to ask?
