Ulinzi Stars vow to beat Gor Mahia
Ulinzi Stars will lock horns with Gor Mahia in a Kenyan Premier League match slated for Sunday at Kisumu’s Moi Stadium and the Soldiers are out for a win.
They are placed at position three with only two points behind K’Ogalo and their captain James Saruni says they are in dire need of three points against their opponents.
Ulinzi Stars recorded a 0-0 draw against Sony Sugar in their recent league match while Gor Mahia were defeated 2-0 by Sofapaka and Saruni says they cannot afford to drop any points against the Green Army.
“We can’t afford to go for a third match without winning and we are all prepared to bounce back with three points. Our target is to remain well within the top three and with three points, we will achieve that,” Saruni told Ulinzi Stars’ official website.
“We have worked hard in training and everyone is ready to fight for three points. It will be a tough match because Gor is also a big team and they are tough to beat. But we know what we need to do and we will fight for three points,” he added.
The match will be played as from 3:00pm.
