The son to Kimilili legislator Didmus Barasa was nearly kidnapped from school if a teacher did not intervene and thwart the plan.

Mr Barasa who spoke about the incident today at Parliament buildings disclosed that an unidentified male reported to his son's school and lied he had been sent by the MP to pick up his son.

However, the man disappeared when the teacher insisted to contact the lawmaker and make sure that he had sent the man to pick up his son.

The Kimilili lawmaker stated that his life was in danger as he had received threats and reported the matter to the police asking them to find those behind the threats.

According to the MP, a man had been arrested trying to break into the lawmaker's house in Kimilili although others who were in his company managed to escape.

"You can recall that a few months ago I was attacked and robbed at gunpoint a matter that was reported to the police station where one person was arrested and taken to court," the MP's statement read in part.

He also attached an email address from the people he claimed to have issued the death threats.
