Bomet Governor, Isaac Ruto, was hit by a teargas canister below his right eye which made his face inflate like a Christmas balloon. Kenyans found a way of making fun of his swollen face.

Governor Ruto suffered the injury when youth allied to him faced off with supporters of National Assembly Deputy Speaker-cum- Sotik MP, Joyce Laboso, during a football match between Bunge FC and Silibwet FC on November 6th.

Heartless Kenyans on social media decided to mock the Bomet governor on a trending tag, #IsaacRutoChallenge.

People were mimicked the injured face of governor Ruto by placing an adhesive bandage beside their nose.

Similar trends have been a thing on social media ever since Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, was seen making a phone call by the roadside; #musevenichallenge was used to mimic the Ugandan head of state.
