Kenyan journalist dies on way to hospital

Former CNN reporter Soni Methu is dead.

Reports indicated that Ms Methu died on the way to hospital while in Diani.

Her younger sister said that Ms Methu complained of stomach pain before she collapsed on Thursday evening.

According to her sister, Ms Methu looked like she was having a seizure and she was rushed to the hospital by their sister-in-law but she sadly died on the way.

“She started looking like she was having a seizure and my sister-in-law rushed her to the hospital but she died on the way. We don’t know much but a post-mortem will be done to tell exactly what happened,” Methu's sister, Faith said.

Methu had worked for CNN before moving to CGTN Africa in 2016.
