Strathmore University beat TUK 2-1 in a Kenya Hockey Union mens Premier League match played on Wednesday at City Park Stadium.

Strathmore are struggling to track back their 2016 form and they were going to the match while placed at position 12 on the log.

Their opponents TUK, who are placed at the bottom of the standings, also went to the match with the aim of adding three more points to their tally.

They started the match on a higher note taking lead in the third period courtesy of Lucky Mwendwa before the hosts lodged a successful comeback.

Festus Onyango and Fred Oracham struck once each in the final period to hand the hosts all the match’s points.

With one match at hand, Strathmore University now have 13 points, 24 behind league leaders Kenya Police.
