The accident involved a 66-seater bus belonging to Lokichar Secondary School.

The bus rolled several times as the students were returning from the secondary school regional games held at Kabarnet High School.

Confirming the incident Baringo police commander Peter Ndung'u said the three died on the spot in the morning accident.

According to the Kenya Red Cross, one person is said to be still trapped in the bus as those injured were rushed to nearby hospitals.
