Jonah Hill Officially Swears More Than Any Actor Ever
According to a recent Variety report, a website called Buzz Bingo chose to analyze more than 3,500 movie scripts to see which film featured the most curse words, along with which actor swore the most onscreen. Interesting way of trying to pass the time while stuck in quarantine but we know how boring things can be. It was inevitable that sooner or later, someone would land on this idea and calculate these thrilling statistics.
With appearances in movies like Superbad and Wolf of Wall Street, Hill somehow managed to drop 376 expletives across his entire filmography, more than former co-star DiCaprios own 361. As for who else Hill beat with this jarring new contest? He managed to upstage Samuel L. Jackson (301), Adam Sandler (295) and Al Pacino (255)all respected actors who are also known for using their fair shares of f**k and s**t.
And if you're wondering which film ranked #1 for the most F-bombs throughout? Well, it's no surprise that The Wolf of Wall Street won that by a landslide, beating out 2019's Uncut Gems (646) and 1995's Casino (606) for the top spot. When it comes to which movie uses the most expletives per 1,000 words, it's Gary Oldman's 1997 film Nil By Mouth that took the cake, using a record of 41.3 swears per 1,000 words.
And the best part of this entire study? Hill had absolutely no idea that he even won the (maybe?) coveted award, as evidenced on his Instagram account. And helike mostis wondering which team of scientists conducted this ridiculous amount of research.
Either way, Hill is definitely "humbled" by the title, and maybe there's a new load of swears in sight. Gotta hold onto that crown, right?
