Jane Fonda Just Made An Iconic TikTok Video Showing Her Mugshot And Jail Squats

So many celebrities brought their A-game to celebrate Earth Day. J.Lo rocked her natural curls , Halle Berry shared a cool video of a hummingbird, and Jane Fonda shared what might be the most Jane Fonda TikTok video of all time.

Theres sooo much to unpack here, and its all amazing (and for a good cause!). "Lots of amazing young people working beyond 9-5 to save the climate. I joined them & so can you! #earthday #9to5 #FireDrillFriday," she wrote in the caption. (ICYMI: Jane created Fire Drill Fridays to encourage weekly protests centered around civil disobedience and a demand that Congress pass the Green New Deal , proposed legislation that tries to address climate change and economic inequality.)

But back to that instantly iconic TikTok... In the video, which is set to Dolly Parton's "9 to 5" (featured in, ya know, the eponymous 1980 movie Jane starred in alongside Dolly and Lily Tomlin), Jane goes through her morning routine, all while poking fun at herself and things shes done in her life.

The whole thing starts off with a really loud alarm as Jane leaps out of bed, grabs her fluffy little dog, and makes a cup of coffee in a mug emblazoned with her mug shot photo from 1970 when she was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking after doing an anti-war college speaking tour in Canada. (Already off to a great start here.)

Then, Jane drinks her coffee next to the text, "Mug shot makes a good mug shot." Bwahahaha! After that, she does a few stretches before doing some squats up against a wall with a ball on the small of her back. "I did these squats in jail ," the text below her reads.

Jane's form is totally on point, btw. She effortless rolls up and down with her squats, coming to a stop with her knees at a 90-degree angle to the floor, before rolling back up again.

In another shot, Jane pores over the newspaper as messages like, "Wow, climate change is a $hitshow!" pop up.

She then can be seen sauntering to a computer for a Zoom meeting with the "Fire Drill Fridays + Green Peace crew!" Oh, and shes wearing a red robe and clutching a martini. In the next shot, shes face down on her computer with an empty martini glass next to her. "Work hard. Play hard," she wrote in the TikTok.

People freaked in the comments, because of course. "Jane Fonda on TikTok is what I needed right now," one person wrote. "OMG JANE! Still slaying at 82," another said.

TL; DR: Jane Fonda is super fit and hilarious AF.
