The incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Friday .in Jalesar area of Etah.
According to reports, the driver of the truck lost control of the vehicle, causing it to fall into a canal.
The wounded were rushed to a nearby health centre for preliminary treatment and rescue personnel toiled to retrieve the bodies from the water, local media said.
Road safety has been a serious concern in India as thousands die every year in accidents.
