Okello bitterly complained that his political detractors had wished him death even though "he was as fit as a fiddle".

He stated that the fake new reports of his death had caused a lot of pain to his family and his constituents.

The ODM Senator spoke shortly after landing from India where he had undergone treatment.

“And it is bad these people are using pseudo accounts in order to disguise their identity. They must respect feelings of our family members, relatives, and friends,” the Senator stated.

The former radio journalist added that he had fully recovered and was ready to return to his routine duties.

"My doctors have declared that I can now resume my duties as a Senator," Okello stated.
