New IPSOS poll results have revealed that President Uhuru Kenyatta has a 47 percent lead in the presidential race while Honorable Raila Odinga follows closely by at 44 percent.
The new poll results differ from the earlier Infotrak poll results that were released on Tuesday August 1 which indicated that National Super Alliance (NASA) flag bearer Raila Odinga was in the lead with 49 percent while Jubilee Party’s President Uhuru Kenyatta came closely after at 48 percent.
The IPSOS pollster reveals that the undecided statistics stands at 5 percent, a 3 percent increase in comparison with the 2 percent undecided statistics of that the Infotrak polls had predicted earlier on.
One percent of the sampled voters will not be casting their votes on August 8.
According to the IPSOS results President Kenyatta would amass this number of votes from every region in the country:
Central – 88 percent
Rift Valley – 65 percent
Eastern – 50 percent
North Eastern – 40 percent
Nairobi – 34 percent
Coast – 26 percent
Nyanza – 13 percent
Raila Odinga would amass:
Nyanza – 80 percent
Coast – 61 percent
Nairobi -56 percent
North Eastern – 54 percent
Eastern – 40 percent
Rift Valley – 25 percent
Central – 5 percent
