Ms. Shebesh was taken to the facilities in order present her nomination papers before the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission for clearance.

The legislator, who has been admitted to Nairobi hospital for a while now, had her leg heavily bandaged.

On Monday, President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto visited Shebesh and wished her a quick recovery.

The Nairobi Women rep is contesting for the same seat after defeating her contestants in the just concluded Jubilee nomination exercise.

In the August  8 General Election, Shebesh will battle Esther Passaris who is vying on an Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party ticket.
