NASA flag bearer Raila Odinga shocked residents of Mavoko in Machakos County after he abandoned the area ODM candidate Michael Mutuku and endorsed Wiper MP Patrick Makau.
Raila called for Wiper and ODM to stop fielding rival candidates for the MP and MCA slots in the Ukambani region to avoid dividing NASA votes, and giving an upper hand for Jubilee or Maendeleo Chap Chap to win in the area.

Raila called on Michael Mutuku to drop his bid and instead support the incumbent, Makau’s bid.
Raila promised Mutuku a state job once NASA sweeps into power if Mutuku shelved his bid.
The NASA flag bearer said that ODM and Wiper will equally share government positions, an announcement that drew a rapturous applause from the crowd.
