Chacha stated that a new date for the rally would be communicated after consultation with ODM leaders in Nairobi.

"A new date for the rally will be announced after consultations with party leadership and Nairobi leaders.

"We ask our supporters to remain steadfast as we march to remove the autocratic Jubilee regime from power and restore nationhood by NASA,” Chacha told a local daily.

The governor on Wednesday announced that they would hold a rally in Nairobi where he would tell President Uhuru Kenyatta the truth.

Joho made the announcement after recording a statement at DCI headquarters over alleged forgery of his academic papers.

"We told you that after Coast tours, we will take the fight to the door step. Tomorrow we are in Kibra near their homes," the Governor told excited supporters.

Joho has maintained that he did not forge his academic papers, allegations that have been backed by individuals who claimed to be his former classmates at Serani Secondary school.

Meanwhile, the government has announced that they are not targeting the Governor but are pursuing all politicians who might have doctored their academic papers to seek elective posts.
