Education Principal Secretary Belio Kipsang on Tuesday directed all boards of schools to hold meetings as schools reopen for second term.

Dr Kipsang mandated the boards to come up with practical solutions to end the perennial problem of school unrest that has become the norm around this time of the school year.

The PS added that the Ministry of Interior and other law enforcement agencies will be deployed to ensure criminal behaviour is combated.

"It is reiterated that the ministry will not tolerate criminal behaviour among our learners.

"Any form of incitement from any quarter should be investigated and dealt with in accordance with the law," a circular from the PS read in part.

All cases of indiscipline to be reported

The directive further directed that all cases of indiscipline to be reported to County Education Boards as well as County Commissioners.

School principals have been ordered to ensure that dormitories remain guarded especially when the students are away.
