Two already in as coach scratches head for final team
Kenya national golf head coach John van Liefland is set to name his final team which will take part in the upcoming East Africa Golf Challenge Cup.
Eight players will be selected from the 12 who have been training for the tournament which will be staged in Dar es Salaam but only two have booked their slots as at now.
The two are the country’s leading juniors Mutahi Kibugu of Muthaiga Golf Club and Nyali Golf and Country Club’s Agil Is- Haq, whose names had been submitted by the Junior Golf Foundation (JGF) to fill in the slots usually reserved for juniors in the team.
Players in the list to be picked include John Karichu (Limuru Country Club), Edwin Mudanyi, Mike Kisia (Vet lab Sports Club), Alfred Nandwa, Samuel Njoroge (Railway Golf Club), Joseph Gathumbi from Thika Sports Club, Dennis Saikwa, Kenneth Bollo (Royal Nairobi Golf Club), Robinson Owiti(Vet lab) and Limuru’s Paul Muchangi.
The team will be named on Wednesday August 16.
