Dorice Ambundo passed away at the Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu on Monday night at the age of 83.

She was admitted with age-related complications on Sunday before sadly passing on on Monday.

She leaves behind five children, including Franklin Shebesh, the husband to Shebesh.

In September this year, Shebesh lost her father, former Nairobi mayor Samuel Mbugua who died while receiving treatment at Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi.

Mbugua served as the Mayor of Nairobi between 1998 and 1999.
