Kidero, Sonko stun Nairobians after friendly lunch meeting in city restaurant (Photos)

The two, who have been at loggerheads over control of Nairobi County, surprised many with their action as they seemed cordial and relaxed as they enjoyed their meal together.

Kenyans took to Twitter with the hashtag #KideroSonkoLunch posting satirical tweets with some saying that Sonko had ditched Jubilee for Cord and would be Kidero’s running mate.

Mike Sonko has already declared that he will be gunning for the Nairobi gubernatorial position on a Jubilee party ticket as he tries to unseat Kidero.

In June, the two were involved in a physical fight during a Senate Public Accounts Committee meeting.

The Governor and Senator had to be separated following a verbal exchange that turned Kidero had grabbed private properties in the city and transferred them to himself and his wife.
