Tuju was expected to grace Citizen TV’s show, Cheche, which was hosted by celebrated anchor Hussein Mohammed.

However, the Jubilee Secretary General changed his mind after discovering that he would be appearing alongside NASA CEO Norman Magaya.

Mohammed read out a message from Tuju who indicated that he would no longer share public platforms with Magaya, but did not give further details on the last minute decision.

The two officials, who head opposition coalitions, have in the past had heated debates in interviews hosted by different media stations.

The show continued with other panelists including veteran journalists Mutegi Njau and Vitalis Musembe, as well as political analyst Charles Odhiambo.

The question of the Opposition's next step following the announcement of Uhuru Kenyatta as the winner of the repeat election took centrestage with Magaya insisting that NASA would not challenge the poll outcome in a court of law.
