Speaking during a media briefing, Government Spokesperson Eric Kiraithe instructed Mr Kuria to apologise to the family of Msando and the public.
Mr Kiraithe added that those involved in the death of Msando will not go unpunished noting:"Moses Kuria is a person of interest and I can assure you that no one will escape. Moses Kuria should apologize".
The legislator came under fire after posting a photo of Msando's vehicle that was found at Thika Road Mall (TRM) near Roysambu area.
According to the lawmaker, the slain IEBC official was with a woman yet reports indicated that he had mysteriously disappeared.
Despite the public outrage Mr Kuria stated that: "I owe nobody any explanations. The media and social media are not part of the police and I refuse to be dragged into this political circus. It will be an exercise in futility... what will happen after explaining myself to you?"
