Buruburu Girls dormitory block catches fire, students seen escaping through windows

A fire incident has been reported at the Buruburu Girls Secondary School in Makadara constituency, Nairobi County.

Video clips shared online showed a number of students attempting to escape the building which caught fire through windows.

According to those familiar with the school, the dormitory which caught fire houses Form Three and Form Four students.

As at the time of reporting, the source of the fire had not been established.

Kenyans online were disturbed by the scenes at the school with many concerned on the safety of the girls who jumped through the windows.
