The Cyprus-based centre drove Kenya’s Nairobi Morans to a 71-49 victory over Kampala City’s Red Stars for the inaugural title with a conspicuous ‘phone in hand’ celebration style during the final match played on Friday at the Nyayo Stadium’s Basketball court.

Speaking to P Live after the triumph, the Maseno High School Alumnus explained that his style was a reflection of his late arrival at the team ahead of the competition which kicked off on Sunday June 11.

“It was for my teammates. I just came from oversees and it was barely two days to the tournament. So I was like yo this is why you gave me a call; I’m in shape; that’s why you gave me a call.

“It is a great feeling to win a championship and to be able to do it for my team. It’s absolutely a great feeling.”
