Kenya will do without their top keeper Arnold Origi after the player successfully registered as a Norwegian citizen.

Origi was called up by Harambee Stars head coach Stanley Okumbi ahead of three upcoming international friendly matches but it has now emerged that Norway does not allow dual citizenship.

This information, which sees the Lillestrøm keeper’s name being struck off Kenya’s national team, has been confirmed by Football Kenya Federation CEO Robert Muthomi.

“Arnold Origi has been granted Norwegian citizenship and he cannot feature for Harambee Stars,” he said.

Kenya will play against Togo, Mozambique and Mauritania between August 31 and September 4.
