President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday made a stop over at St. Bakhita Kiburia Girls High School in Kirinyaga County on his way to the devolution conference where he addressed the students of the school from the fence.

In a photo shared by the President’s Public Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU), Kenyatta, who was accompanied by Deputy President William Ruto and Kirinyaga County Governor Anne Waiguru, is seen giving an address to students who swarmed to see him through a fence.

The photo however drew criticism from Kenyans on twitter, who questioned on why the students had been restricted to be close to their Head of State.

Sign interpreter amuses Kenyans during Uhuru's speech

In a similar incident, Kenyans reacted differently to a sign language interpreter who delivered a stellar showing during Kenyatta’s speech at the 6th Annual Devolution Convention.

The young lady was seen to display facial expressions that expressed Kenyatta’s speech, a moment that drew various reactions from Kenyans on twitter.
