While not seriously hurt, Elliott was treated for a head injury.
Elliott had also been involved in a car accident in January, before the Cowboys hosted the Green Bay Packers in a playoff game, but he was unharmed in that incident.
The Cowboys lost 34-31 to the Packers in that second round playoff contest, ending their season after a 13-4 campaign.
