Chinese nationals arrested

Four Chinese nationals have been arrested in Nairobi’s Kilimani estate.

Their arrest followed a raid by police on Tuesday morning after their neighbors complained of a lewd smell coming from their residence.

During the raid, police discovered meat suspected to be from dogs as well as elephant tusks, leopard skins and other contraband goods.

They also found adornments made from wildlife trophies.

Illegal dealings

This is not the first time the Chinese nationals have been arrested undertaking illegal dealings in the country.

Five Chinese Nationals were in October arrested with Dangerous items that were believed to be a threat to national security in Nairobi.

In the raid, police discovered several items including; Radio Calls, Military uniforms, laptops and metal detectors among others. The Chinese nationals were believed to have been illegally operating a security firm in Lavington area and some of them were working in the country without work permits.

Prostitution

In another incident, 15 Chinese girls were arrested for engaging in prostitution in Nairobi's South C estate.

According to the Department of Immigration, the fifteen were arrested by detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) at a brothel in South C following a tip off from neighbors.
