2) Bloodshot (March 13) Vin Diesel plays a soldier, killed, and then somehow brought back with superpowers. It was a directorial debut for Dave Wilson, and though reviews were more critical than lauding, it's still a pretty entertaining watch. IMDB

3) Wendy (April 17) The boundary between sci-fi and magical realism can be a murky one. Beasts of the Southern Wild director Benh Zeitlin takes us to a mysterious island where time has come undone. It's a coming-of-age modern-day Peter Pan that maybe didn't amaze critics, but was still kind of fun? IMDB

4) Artemis Fowl (June 12) For the love of all childhood memories, don't screw this up, Disney. (Considering the movie has already been delayed countless times ... they're probably gonna screw it up.) IMDB

5) Tenet (July 17) Christopher Nolan returns with what's sure to be another mind-bending summer blockbuster. Plot unknown, but John David Washington ( Ballers , BlacKkKlansman) and Robert Pattinson ( you know him ) star. Devices: time travel, espionage, evolution. Can't frickin' wait. IMDB

6) Sputnik (August 14) A Russian sci-fi film that's part Alien and part cold war horror, Sputnik is sure to remind us that space is actually just a dark scary place. IMDB

7) Bill & Ted Face the Music (August 21) Except now they're middle aged dads. The Keanu-ssance continues. IMDB

8) The New Mutants (August 28) Early trailers for this horror X-Men installment weren't super promising, and this movie, which was announced in 2015 and primarily filmed in 2017, has been delayed many times. But we welcome any attempt to shake up the bloated superhero genre (that is, if it ever actually comes out). IMDB

9) Last Night in Soho (September 24) Edgar Wright (Hot Fuzz, Baby Driver) takes us to 1960s London where a fashion designer mysteriously appears. And probably unsuccessfully tries to hop a fence. IMDB

10) Connected (October 28) From the writers of the hit kids' animated series, Gravity Falls, and the studio behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Connected can only be great. Follow the Mitchells on a car ride to college for the ages. Sony Pictures

11) Black Widow (November 6) Natasha Romanoff finally gets her own film. Just not an origin story. The film is apparently set between the events of Civil War and Infinity War. Stranger Things star David Harbour is among the co-stars. IMDB

12) Soul (November 20) The team behind Inside Out is back for another mind-body trip, this time with a musician transported outside his body. Original music will be important here, and guess who's doing it? Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross , most recently composers for Watchmen. A weird choice, but one we're eager to see out. IMDB

13) Godzilla vs. Kong (November 20) It's a monster mash. IMDB

14) Free Guy (December 11) A bank teller learns that he is in fact an non-playable character inside a giant video game. Because Ryan Reynolds is only allowed to do dark, meta comedy, apparently. IMDB

15) Dune (December 18) Frank Herbert's epic novel, Dune , will be adapted by Denis Villeneuve (Blade Runner 2049, Arrival). We can't think of anyone better. The cast includes (deep breath): Timothee Chalamet, Jason Momoa, Oscar Isaac, and Josh Brolin, just to name a few. We. Are. Ready. Warner Bros.
