1 injured in explosion at Latema Road in Nairobi

One person has been rushed to hospital after sustaining injuries in an explosion at the junction between Latema Road and Tom Mboya Street.

Reports indicate that a man who fled the scene shortly after the explosion hired a trolley pusher to carry a box containing what is suspected to be an Improvised Explosive Device which then exploded.

Nairobi Police Boss Philip Ndolo stated that the man who hired the trolley pusher ran away immediately after the incident.

Bomb experts who responded swiftly to the explosion are currently at the scene.
