During a brief appearance on the Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Thursday, Brady revealed that his retirement plans involve baseball and...Shakespearean drama?

After football, Im going to play baseball, Brady said. And after baseball, Im going to play Hamlet.

The segment, of course, was in jest-part of a gag that involved the Patriots quarterback and other participants in Sundays Super Bowl answering the questions of Colberts Late Night staff-which is good, considering the less-than-stellar acting chops Brady displayed in the clip.

After announcing his plans to play the tragic Prince of Denmark, Brady produced a skull and recited the beginning of the characters famous alas, poor Yorick speech. The performance was as flat as a deflated football.

Brady wasnt the only NFLer to get the Colbert treatment in the segment. Among the other highlights of the clip is Los Angeles Rams defensive end Dante Fowler Jr. playing the accordion and New England Patriots tight end revealing he turned down an endorsement deal for Endicotts Puppy Meth: when you want to give meth to your puppy.

The segment came just a few days ahead of the Super Bowl, where the Pats-making their third consecutive appearance in the big game-will take on the insurgent Rams in Atlanta. Brady, who has already won five Super Bowl rings and four MVPs, is playing in his eighth NFL championship.

For those of us who despise the Patriots and all they stand for, Bradys continued dominance is maddening beyond belief. And yet, at 41, he keeps on going and isnt showing signs of letting up. He has said he wants to play deep into his 40s, embarking on a high-profile and controversial diet and training regimen in an effort to do so, and appears poised for yet another contract extension. Of course, its all gotta end at some point-but its safe to say we wont be seeing Brady on stage anytime soon.
