State House attacker Brian Bera cries for help as he is transferred from KNH

Brian Kibet Bera, a Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT) student who attempted to break into State House, has been arraigned at a Nairobi court

Bera was moved from the Kenyatta National Hospital where he has been kept away from the public eye over the past three weeks.

The engineering student, cried for help, pleading with President Uhuru Kenyatta to forgive as he had suffered a lot during his incarceration.

Mathari Mental Hospital

The office of the Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) asked the court for permission to have Bera transferred to Mathari Mental Hospital for treatment.

It was not immediately clear why the state had delayed in having the student arraigned in court.

Last week, reports emerged that Bera had gone missing at KNH after both the security and the CEO at the hospital disagreed on his whereabouts.

The court ordered Kilimani OCPD Michael Muchiri to have the suspected presented in court today (July 3).
