Kenyans were on Tuesday afternoon met by the shocking news of Nicholas Biwott’s demise after a long illness at the Nairobi hospital.

Biwott, popularly known as Total Man, was a key figure in the country’s politics and served in the governments of Kenya’s first three Presidents- Jomo Kenyatta, Daniel arap Moi and Mwai Kibaki.

Besides being a politician, Biwott was a business mogul and ranked among Kenya’s wealthiest individuals.

The 77 year old owned vast properties in various sectors which according to reports amounts to in excess of Sh50 billion.
