Today his wife who had been admitted to the Kenyatta Hospital left her hospital bed and travelled to NPC Karen for his requiem mass.

Wearing a navy blue outfit with leather details she bravely joined the mourners who had gathered including her young son who walked hand in hand with her relative. Because she was still on crutches, she was supported by her friend into the church.

Not a dry eye was in sight as friends, family and fans took turns to view the body. His boss Churchill looked forlorn and paused at the coffin, grief-stricken as comedian Karis could not hold back his tears and wept for the man he considered a brother.

Later, after mourners thronged into the church, people took to the podium to pay their tributes to the fallen comedian. Throngs of fans who couldn’t make it to NPC Karen watched the service live on Facebook.

Comedians Chipukeezy and David the Student acted as the pall bearers as they held the final mass for their comrade.
