Commuters on the Embakasi route were unable to move after a train stalled at Taj Mall Embakasi blocking an entire lane.

Vehicles were barred from accessing the Outer Ring Road.

Those using the train were forced to get off and find other means to get to the Central Business District (CBD).

Confirming the incident, Rift Valley Railways noted that: “The Embakasi commuter train has suffered a one hour delay due to the derailment at Taj Mall”.

It also apologized to costumers plying the route.
