Large crowds gathered to hear the DP and his delegation, an occurrence that was deemed unusual in the perceived Opposition stronghold.

Controversial Tweet

Senator Murkomen played on the headline which read: "Unwelcome guest: Ruto in Raila Turf" with the comeback, "...what will happen when he is welcomed?"

The Senate Majority Leader's tweet attracted a number of witty remarks from his followers as some of his followers observed that the high turnout Murkomen was referring to may have been more for the embattled Migori governor than the DP.
