Rudisha made the announcement on Wednesday stating that his sister - Harriet Rudisha - had succumbed to lung cancer.

"It’s sad to announce the lost of my younger sister Harriet Rudisha from Lung cancer, the funeral is scheduled on Monday 4th Dec. 2017, at our home Kilgoris town. Thank you,” a report by Citizen Digital quoted Rudisha as saying.
