Former Citizen TV News Anchor Julie Gichuru was for the better part of Thursday the subject of discussion on social media for all the wrong reasons.

The celebrated media personality has been posting a series of tweets preaching peace ahead of the August 8 General Elections.

However, a couple of those tweets have not gone down well with Kenyans on Twitter who ferociously attacked her on grounds that she was not focusing on the issue of free and fair elections.

Now in a video she posted on her official Twitter account regarding peace during the elections, Julie says: “Don’t let the pseudo intellectuals lie that one can seek justice via violence. Conflict is the mother of injustice and she breeds a multitude.”

The video drew mixed reactions with a section of Kenyans claiming that the term “pseudo intellectuals” was aimed at a certain political technocrat.

It is not the first time that Julie Gichuru has been on the receiving end of KOT. Just last month, the former TV queen was blasted after she posted a photo of herself with Caroline Mutoko and President Uhuru Kenyatta during the President’s campaign fundraiser.

The photo didn’t go down well with many Kenyans who accused of her of being politically biased despite her being a media personality.
