The MP who was elected on a Jubilee Party ticket was arrested on Monday morning.

Other reports reaching indicate that North Horr MP Chachu Ganya has also been arrested over the Marsabit clashes.

Their arrests come a few days after they were summoned to the Eastern Region Police Headquarters and questioned on suspicion that they were supporting the unrest that was being experienced in the region.

The two lawmakers were summoned alongside Marsabit Governor Muhammud Mohamed.
