A sombre mood has engulfed residents of Kapsoya Ward in Uasin Gishu County after two of the three missing children belonging to the Kanu MCA candidate of the area James Ratemo, were found dead.

According to police reports, the body of the third child has been spotted floating in River Nzoia though it is yet to be retrieved and its identity confirmed.

The bodies of the two children were on Friday morning  found at Kitale County Referral Hospital.

The three boys — Clifford Nyambane, six, Dan Nyamweya, five, and Glen Ongagi, three — went to Eldovil SDA Church in the company of their cousin last Saturday but failed to return.

The family had put up posters of the children all over the area in a bid to try and trace them.

Reports say that their uncle Enock Onsanze was arrested on Friday in relation to the incident.

Police have launched investigations into the incident.
