Apparently the comedian was given extra ballot papers and when he tried to return the extra one, he was instead escorted to the Nyayo Stadium police station.

Ruto, in a Facebook video posted on their propesa page, explained that he was indeed given an extra ballot paper for the senate seat.

Ruto was earlier on today arrested on suspicion of committing election fraud.

He was taken into custody at the Nyayo Stadium police station.
