Raila’s running mate Kalonzo Musyoka, confident of an outright Nasa outright win in the August 8 elections, said that during the 2018 Madaraka Day, NASA will hold an all inclusive 55th Madaraka Day fete.

Kalonzo said under the Nasa Government, Kenyans will celebrate true self rule during the celebrations, which will involve all those who have suffered under Jubilee's administration because of the high cost of living and the escalating price of unga.

In a tough-worded statement, Kalonzo promised Kenyans that Madaraka Day 2018 will serve as a uniting factor for all citizens.

"Raila’s snub on Thursday was a clear demonstration of the divisiveness with which Jubilee has run this country for the last four years," Kalonzo said.

"It does not serve the interests of Kenya for Jubilee to try to ignore the facts and hope to undermine the quest of Kenyans to put in place a new administration," he added.

Kalonzo accused the Jubilee administration of mocking the 54th commemoration of Kenya's self-rule by ignoring the true champions of democracy.

President Kenyatta along with his Deputy Ruto failed to acknowledge the presence of Raila throughout their speeches, instead highlighting the Jubilee Government's success as they sought to woo Kenyans to give them a second term in office with elections barely two months away.
