Speaking at the Jubilee headquarters, where his supporters had flocked to protest the election of incumbent MP William Kamanda, stated that the decision had vindicated him from his rival’s underhanded methods during the primaries.

"I have no personal problems with Mr. Kamanda the only bad thing he did was to try rigging the vote," he said.

Jaguar accused Kamanda of doing nothing for his constituent noting that he had taken up his (Kamanda) duties by initiating various projects in the Constituency.

The kigeugeu hit maker indicated that his development projects in the area was what prompted the locals to urge him to vie for the post.

“It is the people of Starehe who asked me to vie so I will work for them,” he mentioned.

However, the singer highlighted that he still had respect for Kamanda and would turn to him for advice as his senior.

Jaguar had appealed the result of the Starehe primaries which saw Kamanda announced as the winner.

He accused Kamanda of rigging the elections.

On Wednesday, the Jubilee Tribunal denounced the earlier results and declared Jaguar as the winner.
