President Uhuru Kenyatta on Tuesday morning took time to mourn popular Churchill Show comedian, Emannuel Makori alias Ayeiya.

Posting on his social media a photo in which he was with Ayeiya and his fellow comedians, President Kenyatta condoled with the family of the deceased.

The Head of State noted that the country will never forget Makori's signature which was: Ayeiya poa poa.

In the picture, the President was carrying Aiyeya’s briefcase which he always had during his shows.

Mr Kenyatta also asked comedian Daniel Ndambuki better known as Churchill to pass his condolences to the Churchill team.

Aiyeya died in a grisly accident along Magadi road, near Catholic University of East Africa after the car he was in hit an electricity post.

According to reports, he was also in the company of his wife, fellow comedian Paul wa Kimani and popular actor Maina Olwenya.

After the news of Ayeiya's death broke, it emerged that he died days after his grandmother, who is yet to be buried, had also passed on.

In a report by the Nation, Makori’s grandmother, Ms Maryrose Nyambane, died on Sunday after battling throat cancer for a long time.

News of his death shocked the whole country and celebrities moved in to send messages to condole with the family.
