Ken Wa Maria, whose official name is Kennedy Wambua, is seeking to be the MCA of Matuu Ward.

Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka on Tuesday handed the 'Fundamental' hitmaker the party ticket during a ceremony held at the Bomas of Kenya.

In 2007, Ken Wa Maria composed a song Ndalili sya Maundu (signs of times) hailing praise over Musyoka Presidential bid.

In the song, the King of Kamba Benga praised the former Vice President as the choice of the Kamba people.

He decribes himself as a simple, down-to-earth man who believes in hard work and nothing more

Last year Ken Wa Maria was involved in a grisly accident along the Thika Super Highway while drining to a show in Ruiru.
