Abby Lee Miller Says She's 'Regressing' Every Day Without Physical Therapy In New Instagram
Dance Moms star Abby Lee Miller is looking back at brighter days. The reality star posted a flashback video to Instagram and revealed the toll that staying at home has taken. Recently, she hasn't been able to get proper physical therapy and continue her walking progress.
In the flashback, Abby walks along next to her wheelchair with a walker and a physical therapist at her side. She's smiling and taking one step at a time, but moving right along.
Her current mobility looks a bit different, though. Abby explains in the caption: "Flash back to the Fri I walked out of @casacolinahospital w/ a Physical Therapist by my side and my power wheelchair right behind me. Wont try that at home - it takes doctors/ professionals/ a whole village to raise a #paraplegic. Im regressing everyday wo [sic] proper #PT!"
She concludes her post with gratitude for the physical therapists who've helped her recover. "Hope the wonderful pros at all the rehab facilities no [sic] how much they are appreciated!"
Abby has been steadily making progress toward walking again, nearly two years after she was diagnosed with Burkitt lymphoma, a rare type of cancer that affected her spine. In fact, in January Abby shared an uplifting video of herself walking and doing a turn during physical therapy.
Abby hasn't let her wheelchair hold her back in the past, though. She previously told Women's Health : "The good news is that being in a wheelchair hasnt stopped me from instructing. Thats why I wanted to do the current season of Dance Moms, to prove that I can still teach. Im not giving upand Im not going anywhere."
