Deputy President William Ruto on Friday skipped the much-publicised meeting between President Uhuru Kenyatta and NASA leader Raila Odinga.

The meeting was meant to discuss the simmering tension that have marked the two sides of the Kenyan political divide since the August 8 general election.
Odinga was in the company of his close allies in ODM including Suna East Junet Mohamed and his legal adviser Paul Mwangi.
On his part, Kenyatta did not carry along political allies and was in the company of his State House aides.
We could not immediately verify the Deputy President's whereabouts as his spokesman's phone was switched off.
