National Super Alliance (NASA) leader Raila Odinga has come under scrutiny for accusing top telecommunication firm Safaricom of taking part in election rigging.
Speaking to the press at Capital Hill Hotel on Tuesday September 26, Raila accused the firm of delaying the transmission of the August 8 presidential results.
“Safaricom, you are bad people and rigged us out but we will still use your paybill service to fundraise for the next election,” he said.
Raila further ordered NASA lawyers to commence private prosecutions against Safaricom officials who schemed to overturn the presidential election.
“Results from the polls were transmitted to a cloud hosted in France but never reached Bomas of Kenya.”
NASA supporters had earlier on today kicked off a peaceful march to the IEBC offices at Anniversary Towers on Tuesday to force its top officials to resign for allegedly bungling the August vote.
"We are beginning these peaceful protests to force IEBC officials by public pressure so that we can have a credible election," he added.
