Ms. Omollo was remanded following her link to the multi-billion corruption scandal at the National Youth Service (NYS).
The PS was allowed to go home after Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi approved her Sh2 million surety. Mr. Mugambi ruled that Omollo met all the bail term requirement issued by the High court.
However, the decision was overturned by the High Court.

In the ruling, Omollo, NYS director Ndubai and Ngirita family members were each granted Sh1million cash bail with the option of Sh5 million bond or a Sh2million surety.
Out of the 25 days in police custody, Ms. Omollo spent 15 days at Kenya National Hospital (KNH) where she was admitted after she fainted at Lang’ata Prison.
