Pupils of Shikokhwe Primary School in Malava were caught on camera sitting for their Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exams in a classroom that was in a dilapidated state.
The picture was circulated on social media with many condemning the leaders in the area for not improving the pupils learning environment.
Former Kakamega Senator Bonny Khalwale took the opportunity to shame Governor Wycliffe Oparanya noting that he was doing little for the area.
Mr Oparanya defended himself stating: "The county government of Kakamega has already build two classrooms in that school. We're also building 3 more classes to make 5 in total".
